Can a crypto recovery service get my stolen money back?
No — “recovery agents” who promise to trace and retrieve stolen crypto are the second scam aimed at the same victim, and they find you precisely because you already lost money once. The script never varies: upfront “investigation,” “tracing,” or “legal” fees, then fabricated progress reports and more fees, while nothing is ever recovered. Legitimate law enforcement doesn't charge victims to investigate, and blockchain transactions can't be reversed by a hired agent. Report the original theft to the FBI's IC3 (ic3.gov) and the FTC, and treat anyone who contacts you promising recovery as a scammer.
