A company hired me to receive packages and forward them — is this job legit?
No — “reshipping,” “package inspector,” or “quality control” jobs that have you receive merchandise at home and forward it elsewhere are laundering operations: the goods were bought with stolen credit cards, and your address is the buffer between the scammer and the victim. The paycheck never arrives, and when the fraud is traced, the trail leads to your door. No legitimate employer routes merchandise through employees' homes. Stop shipping immediately, refuse or return any packages still in your hands, and report the “employer” to the FBI at ic3.gov and the site where you found the listing.
